There are 46 designated sites, many on islands, all reachable only
by water. Sites are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is no fee for camping. You
must register with the Forest Ranger before setting out on the reservoir.

Stillwater offers plenty of nooks to navigate and explore, as
well as a couple of hiking trails. The water depth varies greatly with many shoals just beneath the surface, so
boaters beware.

Big sandy beach at site 11 |
Stillwater is host to a large population of loons, as well as many nesting
bald eagles. With its sandy beaches and spectacular views, Stillwater is a great place for an Adirondack adventure!
